“We were extremely impressed with Bridget’s natural ability to understand and interpret our brief, to make the best use of the available space, to develop eye-catching design and her instinctive eye for colour and materials. Throughout the project kept close control of the works, ensuring that they were undertaken to the highest quality. We would thoroughly recommend her.”

“I have worked with Bridget Reading ID on three large and challenging projects with each needing planning permission from Westminster City Council. Bridget handled all planning matters with professional ease and obtained all consents and certificates from the beginning through to completion.
Bridget is so easy to work with as she understands exactly what her clients are looking for, coupled with her innovative ideas, enthusiasm and product knowledge, I need look no further than Bridget Reading ID when doing any alterations or refurbishments to our homes.  I have no hesitation in recommending Bridget Reading ID to others.”

Charlotte

“We are now on our fourth project with Bridget and each experience has been nothing short of amazing.  On two of those projects Bridget has had to deal with a listed building and each time has managed to design something sympathetic to the character but with the edge we want. Crucially she has kept the regulators happy at all times while remaining calm and focused, not easy!! Bridget captures our personal taste perfectly and we feel so comfortable with all she recommends along with her exemplary attention to detail.  Thank you for creating the most beautiful homes for us.”

Rob & Julia

“Bridget Reading ID has been a sounding board for us over the years. Firstly, she is very attentive and listens to the ideas you bring to the table. From that, she works with you to produce a result that is unique to you with your needs in mind. She is up-to-date with new designs but is sensitive to your own style. We have had numerous projects designed by Bridget. One example is this: we had a very small bedroom and an under the stair toilet which we converted to one larger bedroom. The bedroom was designed by Bridget with a 10 year old girl in mind who is now approaching her mid teens. We had to create a desk space, dresser area and of course wardrobes and bed that were all tight fitting. The workmanship of the cabinetry and Bridget’s advice on lighting, fabrics and colour scheme was brilliant. We also needed to move the main electrics to the house to a new position in the bedroom area. The timing and her ability to remain calm throughout all building issues was outstanding. Our budget was also adhered to. We remain very happy with Bridget’s services and happy demeanour, I would thoroughly recommend her.”

Polydor

“Bridget is a very talented and creative designer, I loved working with her and found her to be extremely reliable, honest and capable. She worked hard to manage the builders that carried out the works and I would definitely work with her again. She transformed a dull little house into a little gem. She loves a cuppa and although she says she doesn’t eat biscuits she does really especially chocolate ones!”

Daniel Barber

“Great practical advice, quick response. Advice on Appliances – with a wide knowledge of what is now on the Market. – Superb at maximizing space and great space solutions. She provided an efficient team to execute the project that all worked together dovetailing jobs to cut down on time.”

Hilary Jones

“Bridget was in charge of the the interior design transformation of our ‘1930’s untouched since the 1970’s’ red brick Belsize family home. She converted it into a home/work space for two adults and three small children. We enjoyed the working process with Bridget, she has amazing creativity combined with strong work ethics. Bridget made our first move in fourteen years from Shoreditch to Belsize Park a very pleasant and rewarding experience.”

Dierk Hannemann

“We recently worked with Bridget Reading on a complete house refurbishment. There was extensive structural work involved. Her suggestions and drawings were intuitive and well thought out. We had worked with her 9 years ago on another renovation project and loved her style and taste. She listens to what you want and finds what you are looking for. She is professional and fun to work with – from design ideas, to bespoke joinery, fabrics, paint colours, lighting, etc. – She has a fantastic eye and is up-to-date with current trends, yet always listens to what you are looking to achieve in your new home. Finally, we were very happy with the building team she recommended.”

Pam Nolan

“Crowther & Sons, as Master Upholsterers, have worked with Bridget since May 2015 on a variety of bespoke, high-quality furniture projects that needed new upholstery or restoration.
Her approachability and excellent communication skills together with her innate attention to detail have meant that we have a productive professional relationship – resulting in clients that recommend Bridget to their friends.”

Edward Crowther and Sons

“Bridget perfectly summed up what was required to update our tired home with a carefully chosen collection of finishes. She listened and took note of my concerns and ideas.
We are delighted with the result which included a great colour scheme, new flooring and particular items of furniture, to give us ‘the look’ we had hoped for in our busy family home.
Bridget’s calm and professional approach took the stress out of this process. We are delighted with our new home and wouldn’t hesitate to recommended Bridget.”

A.Bentley

“Bridget worked with us recently on a redecoration project for our home and from the beginning was very in tune with our ideas. She very quickly constructed mood boards and gave some really excellent ideas to complement our own and was great at sourcing materials, fixtures and fittings etc showing an in-depth knowledge of her skills as a designer.  We would certainly recommend her based on her work for us.

Gemma Riche

“We worked with Bridget on one of her designs for a lovely apartment in New York. It was a treat to collaborate with her and come up with visualisations of the beautiful and chic apartment. Her designs have simplicity and clarity, this makes them stand out from the rest. Her bespoke interiors breath a sense of elegance and pure luxury into her client’s homes. We look forward to working with her again real soon.”

Deckor

“I recently had the pleasure of photographing one of Bridget’s recent projects in North London. As well as their designs been beautiful, it was a real pleasure working with Bridget, and seeing her beautiful designs. Talented, hard working, and most of all fun to be around. I can’t wait for the next photoshoot, and i would highly recommend them to anyone.”

Chris Snook

“I had the pleasure to photograph one of Bridgets projects, the Edwardian house renovation, and we worked together on the day to style the shoot. She was a joy to work with, friendly and knowledgable with great taste, and you could tell she had a great relationship with the home owner too. She had obviously understood her clients needs and design requirements and translated them into a beautiful home. She made the day fun and fruitful and I look forward to more shoots to come. I would of course recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer.”

Alex Maguire Photography

“Bridget has a keen eye for creating distinctive spaces that have a modest modern and classic chic. Bridget’s extensive experience of working on hi-end projects has given her great skill in bringing understated colours together, in ways that allow distinctive features and furnishing to sing. She is a great listener and works well with clients to refresh their homes and bring the feel of their spaces alive and subtly vibrant.”

Titman Design

“Bridget provided external and internal architectural designs, plans and advice for a major refurbishment of our family home. Bridget really listened to what we wanted the outcome to be and our own design ideas. She made constructive, informed challenges to those thoughts, suggested enhancements and significantly improved on our original ideas. Bridget also helped us select colours, finishes, furnishings, fixtures and fittings and the best suppliers to help us deliver a great finished product that has exceeded our expectations. Her expert advice in sourcing the right builder with the right personal fit and work ethic, skilled team and attention to detail and other associated construction professionals was invaluable. We would highly recommend Bridget to anyone undertaking a similar project. She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.”
