The front reception room provides an area adjacent to the entrance which can be used for client meetings etc. The 1970’s ‘Love Seat’ sits well between the Minotti side tables and Rug Co ‘Beam’ rug.
The oxblood red high-lacquer shelving gives a focal point to the rear reception room. The simple sculptural form of the Poliform easy chair inhabits the space in a relaxed manner, very much in-line with the Client’s brief.
The panelled entrance hall incorporates a strong colour for the panelling which runs like a spine through most of the floors of the house. This sets the scene for the property, a warm inviting oasis in the middle of the busy West End of London.
The panelling provides a smart backdrop to both the stair and rear reception room, and establishes the colour tones for the stair and Roger Oates runner.
The first floor living room was established as a calm relaxing space. The Client’s coffee table – a discovery at Alfie’s Antique Market – provides the focal point for the front room with the B & B ‘Feebo’ sofa and chairs. Details such as the Svenkst Tenn cushions give colourful interest to the tweed and velvet furniture. All positioned on a beautiful silk Rug Company rug.
The living room opens up to the study area.
An ensuite was created in the master suite providing what is a white oiled oak piece of joinery which opens up into the shower room.
BR-ID incorporated a down lit recessed shelf above the bed as a feature and joinery to house quirky objets of this teenager.
The dressing room comprises of walnut and lacquered joinery maximising the spaced with wardrobes and shelving. The Poliform dresser gives a ‘pop’ of colour contrasting with the emerald green of the Vivienne Westwood Rug Company silk rug.
The dining room incorporated a light oak floor and grey hues to maximise light levels in this part of the house. The bold patterned curtain fabric lends a striking effect to the room.
